HONOR FC 19 Caged Carnage Event Preview

Event Preview: HONOR FC 19 Caged Carnage
HONOR Fighting Championship
2014-06-07, Las Vegas, The Parisian
Author:

Welcome home HONOR fans. Tonight we're here, live at The Parisian where Drazen Kadoic will be fighting to defend the Light heavyweight Title against Thomas Boothe. We have a lot of other great fight with some veteran fighters as well as a couple of younger guys looking to impress. Unfortunately i'm really short on time so i'm only going to be able to cover 2 fights each in the preliminary Bouts, and the main card.

Preliminary Bout Number 1 – Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Blake “The Bullet” Ward (4-1) VS. Josh “The Chris Bosh” Laston (7-4)

Well, i'm definitely going to be biased here because The Bullet is my main man. This is going to be a fun fight. Bullet has a great ground game, won his last fight via TKO from ground and pound very early in the fight. Laston seems to be a very well rounded counter fighter who knows how to take a bunch, but does he have the ground game for Ward? Laston's manager has told me that he has the “answer” to The Bullet's ground game. Let's see what his strategy is.

Prediction: I'm definitely going with Bullet here. Laston is a tough guy but I don't he has the ground game to save him from “The Bullet”.

Preliminary Bout Number 2 – Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Jonathan “The Cheetah” Mvungi (8-8) VS. “The Magician” Arni Birmiski (25-19)

Mvungi is currently on a 3 fight losing streak and could really use a win here. He's been TKO'd 4out of his last 5 fights, i'm thinking his chin may need to retire. Birmiski is 10 years the Elder of Mvungi and has a lot more experience in the octagon. He's an extremely well rounded fighter, but he does'nt seem to have much KO power or explosiveness. His lack of power makes it really hard to him to finish fights he's winning, let's see if his skills are enough to handle his younger opponent.

Prediction: I'm going with Mvungi on this one, I think he's got the KO power and speed to take our Birmiski.

Co Main Event – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Augsustus “DEADSHOT” Belmont (24-10) VS. Bryan “Thunder” Larocque (26-12)

For our co main event, we have what's set to be a great fight between Augustus Belmont and Bryan Larocque. These two show boaters have a combined total of 20 OTN awards! Tons of Knockouts and legendary fights in these guys resume's. Even though they have brown belts in BJJ these guys prefer to stand and bang, so I definitely see a KO coming here.

Prediction: I think i'm going to go with Belmont on this one. He's got the power to stop Larocque, who has some problems finishing fights.

Main Event - Light Heavyweight Fight (205bs)

Drazen Kadoic (28-16) VS. Thomas Boothe (27-7)

Next up, we have the LHW title on the line in what is going to guaranteed to be a fight full of highlight reel worth stuff. Kadoic will be defending the title he won after winning both his fights after coming into HONOR. He's got a tough challenger who's hungry for the belt. Thomas Boothe is on a 6 fight win streak and has some freakishly strong KO power. He's gonna look to take the belt from Kadoic while he's napping like a baby.

Prediction: Boothe is a monster and he wants that belt. Kadoic is gonna get hit by a freight train.

Once again, sorry for the short review I had a very busy week but i'll be here tomorrow night with a full review! Be sure to check it out!
