Stomp a thon 8         23 May 2015      Specific details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventmanager.php?EvID=834094
The Romper Room is well-known as the place to be on Saturday evening, and the Stomp a thon 8 event was no different!  This Saturday night (23 May 2015) at Hayashi's Lounge in Las Vegas, we had 8 fights  and saw 7 of the 8 bouts end by knockout !!!  It was an exciting night and we saw the first 2 Romper Room Butt-Stompers Champions belted.  This event was proudly sponsored by MayheM sportswear (4644) based in Las Vegas,  who specializes in Legion of Doom clothing and believes in "kicking ass in style".

205 lbs     fight between Quin Bo (271508) and Bobby "Breakin Bones" Brown (271493)
Bo is a Muay Thai fighter and Brown is also a Muay Thai fighter so this could get kicky... Ding Ding !  Brown comes out swinging...and missing.  Bo takes it into a clinch and thats where it started getting ugly and fast... Bo tore that ass up in the clinch and landed EVERY strike he threw...and he threw alot.  In less than 4 minutes Bo landed 24 out of 24 strikes thrown and thats a simply amazing feat.  In just under 3 minutes Bo dropped Brown with an uppercut and when Brown gains his feet again its easy to see he is rocked.  But he aint no punk and even tho Bo was unloading on him it still took almost a minute to put him down with a big right hand and then finish the job with a series of strikes from mount.  I have a feeling this Bo character gonna be a champ someday...
Results:    After 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quin Bo!

185 lbs     fight between "Chicken Foot" Sammy Suarez (266133) and Frank Mir (267225)
Mir is a wrestler with a bit of Muay Thai ability and Suarez is a street fighter style mix with a tendency towards BJJ.  Ding Ding !  Mir comes out kicking and then clinches and is landing strikes with no reply from Suarez.  Suarez finally starts throwing...but is missing and Mir is kinda whoopin that butt.  Finally Suarez lands an elbow from the clinch and Mir is cut.  Mir apparently takes offence to being cut and kicks Suarez in the BALLS, (not the penis).  Suarez goes for the clinch and somehow Mir is rocked and Suarez pushes Mir back and as he springs him off the cage, Suarez throws a beautiful elbow that sends Mir crashing to the floor!  Seconds later the referee saves Mir and its all over!
Results:    After 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sammy Suarez!

205 lbs     fight between Rafinha Silva (264300) and Doug "The Milf Destroyer" Schmiddy (268392)
Silva is a boxer and Schmiddy is a street style fighter with a weakness in Muay Thai.  Ding Ding !  Silva is countering every move Schmiddy makes and Schmiddy seems to want a takedown but cant get it.  Four minutes into the round on one of the few strikes that Silva actually initiates he smacks Schmiddy with a straight right hand, followed by a left and a right that send Schmiddy crashing to the mat, dazed.  Schmiddy gets up and is still looking for the takedown, but the round ends with no takedown, and Schmiddy getting his ass beat by Silva who is landing everything he throws.  Round 2, Schmiddy still getting beaten up like a red-headed step-child but finally manages to get a takedown and is quickly reversed.  Schmiddy has the superior BJJ but instead of trying submissions he is throwing strikes from his back, and the referee finally stands them up.  But its the same pattern of Schmiddy wanting a takedown and being stuffed with counter strikes and generally looking like a low-level sparring partner.  Round 3, and Silva decides he's had enough sparring and knocks Schmeiddy down with a combination.  Schmiddy is gets to his feet all wobbly and he wisely tackles Schmiddy into the cage...or maybe just fell into Schmiddy on the way down?  Silva continues to land strikes and Schmiddy breaks loose and again goes for the takedown and of course, Silva counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Schmiddy falls to the ground, out cold!  So it looks like Silva got a nasty beatdown for his single-minded determination to get a takedown...might have been interesting to see what he can do if he gets it...but one thing for certain...he got heart and a decent chin to take so many strikes (48) to the head.  So I expect he will be working on his strike defense and punching techniques since he threw 15 strikes and landed zero.  Silva on the other hand landed an incredible 69 out of 72 strikes thrown and stuffed 20 takedown attempts. WOW... I smell another Champion a cookin....
Results:    After 0:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rafinha Silva!

170 lbs fight between Third Fist (265565)  and Igor Stankevich (265083)
Fist is a boxer with some minor skills in wrestling and Stanevich is boxer wrestler.  Ding Ding !  Both men come out swinging and several blows into the fight Fist lands an overhand right and cuts Stankevich, and then follows up by a combination that knocks Stankevich down.  Fist waves him to his feet and clinches, but Stankevich seems to have gotten his wits back and breaks free.  Both men are throwing and the fight is ON!  They go at it pretty good but then Fist connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Stankevich to the canvas, out cold!
Results:    after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Third Fist!

185 lbs     fight between Evan "The Python" Payton (267824) and Max "Iron Head" Gomez (269465)
Gomez is a street style fighter with some BJJ skills and Payton is also a street style fighter with slightly better BJJ skills than Gomez so this fight could get VERY interesting... Ding Ding !  Gomez comes out for the clinch or a takedown and Payton thinks thats a nice plan so HE grabs a clinch and gets a takedown.  Payton tries for an Americana but Gomez defends nicely and Payton stands up. throws a couple strikes and takes Gomez down again.  Payton still looking for a submission from the top, but Gomez is happy to defend and they get stood back up just in time for the end of the round.  Round 2, Payton seems like he's not sure what to do...he gets takedowns and then stands up, clinches and breaks clinch...but he DOES punch, and 1 an 1/2 minutes into the round he rocks Gomez with a jab.  While Gomez is still wobbly, Payton takes him down again, but is just stalling and the ref stands them up again.  And thats how the 3rd round went as well.  It was all Payton in the standup and able to get takedowns at will, but unable to get anything done on the ground.  Gomez managed to get a reversal and throw a leg kick...but looked like he was a mat doll to be used in a practice.
Results:    OMG are u shitting me?  All 3 judges see the fight the same with all 3 rounds being 8/10 rounds in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Evan Payton!  Didnt seem to me like Payton was all that impressive...i think it was scored like that because Gomez was so UNimpressive.  But he's still young...could be a chanp hiding inside....

265 lbs     fight between "Mr." Jesse Sabot (269326) and  Marcus "The Bully" Tyranus (269511)
Sabot is a wrestler with boxing ability and Tyranus is a Muay Thai/boxer.  Ding Ding !  Well this fight surprised me... Tyranus the Muay Thai fighter who cant clinch 34 failures out of 35 attempts) and when he does get into the clinch he gets his butt handed to him by a wrestler.  Tyranus threw strikes specially knees in the clinch but missed most of them and Sabot close to half his strikes in the standing and the clinch.  Tyranus was simply out-punched, but the punch that put him "out" was a right hand...or rather a series or right hands.
Results:     After 3:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jesse Sabot!

265 lbs     TITLE fight between Savage Hulk (260931) and Banger "Donk" Osbourne (261786)
Hulk is a boxer working to improve his ground skills and Osbourne is a boxer with pretty decent wrestling skills.  Ding Ding !  Hulk comes out a bit over-eager and is swinging like a street fighter and Osbourne is easily avoiding and throws a headkick (missed) in reply.  Hulk lands a couple body shots and Osbourne fails a takedown attempt and takes a cut when Hulk counters.  Hulk is still a bit wild but his body shots are already having an affect on Osborne who misses with an uppercut and Hulk counters with a crisp right that sends Osbourne to the canvas!  Its an easy finish and we have the crowd screaming BELT ! BELT! BELT! as Hulk has his hand raised.
Results:    After 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Savage Hulk!  The Romper Room Butt-Stompers Heavyweight Champion has been belted!  Who will have the testicules to try to take it from him?  Hulk is awarded the "KO of the night" for this brutal no-messing around knockout.

185 lbs     TITLE fight between Falcon Sackett (264392) and Rikkard Hanson (260249)
Sackett is a well rounded fighter with a slight weakness in BJJ, and Hanson is boxer with some wrestling ability.  Ding Ding !  Hanson was stuffed.  Nothing worked for Hanson, and he was cut by a right hand and then rocked and then dropped and then it was stopped.  Hey it was poetry in motion !
Results:    After 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Falcon Sackett!  Sackett is the Light Heavyweight Champion!

It was a great night and the Romper Room Butt-Stompers belted their first 2 Champions.  Next week we will be seeing two more belts being fought for.  DON'T miss the action, buy them tickets now while they still available!   GOODBYE !!!
