 BFT - 126 Review

Heavyweight - Atilla Orban knocked out Rooster "True Grit" Cogburn with strikes at 1:08 in round 2.

Cogburn was clearly out of Orban's league on the fee. Orban went on a full on rampage on the feet. Jabs, Crosses, Body shots were all finding homes. A solid hook landed early cutting Rooster right under his eye. When Orban saw blood, he knew he wasn't going to back down. Corburn kept trying to clinch up, and midway through the round it cost him. He was countered perfectly that knocked him down and rocked him. On top on the ground, Orban tried to get to a better position to get a submission. Since the arm triangle didn't work, he decided to stand things up. At the end of the round, Cogburn got the clinch he wanted, but couldn't do anything with it. Round 2 saw an early knockdown and the beginning of the end. After picking apart Cogburn on the feet, he finally ended things with a big hook. A one sided beat down.

Lightweight - Suchart "Fishbowl" Chaowanungkarn Unanimous decisioned Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

"Fishbowl" was dancing with the devil in this one, playing right into "Pacman's" strength on the feet. He used a great strategy on the feet. He used a steady barrage of leg kicks to set himself up for other attacks. But Pacquiao was fighting back. He landed some good shots, some to the head, some to the body. The first round went as planned for Fishbowl and was able to not only take it, but cut up Pacman. The second round had Pacquiao attack a little more, but at this point it was too late for him. His leg was starting to welt up, and began to take away his speed and power. Fishbowl used that to his advantage and continued his way to a solid performance. Pacman showed his heart in the final round. He kept going and at was swinging hard. But his leg was seriously messed up, and really couldn't keep up with the fresher Fishbowl. Fishbowl took the fight landing THIRTY FIVE leg kicks. Wow!

Heavyweight - Joseph Mageramsky knocked out Steve Henry with strikes at 56 seconds in round 1.

Mageramsky did not come to play in this one. A jab set up the combo that knocked Henry down and but him up. From the mount, Mageramsky landed some great ground and pound that just sent Henry out of here. That is the power of Joseph Mageramsky.

Co-Main Event - Welterweight - "Nom" Nom Nomm submitted "Clap" Igor Wietrzny by arm triangle at 3:37 in round 2.

The fight started with Nomm taking Wietrzny down and trying to catch him off guard on the ground. But after Igor woke up and decided he had enough, he took the steering wheel. He took things down and tried 10 submissions! Not a single one worked. Even though Nomm clearly lost that round, it definitely gave him confidence going into the second round. This round has a lot of work at the distance. Nomm definitely looked better, outlanding Wietrzny 7-1. Nomm used this time to take things down. After 2 kimura attempts, Nomm put things away with an arm triangle.

Main Event - Lightweight - "Stoneface" Samuel Vimes knocked out "The Edge" Darren Colby with strikes at 2:31 in round 1.

These guys were going toe-to-toe with each other. Vimes, however, was landing the shots a lot better. Colby began to try for the clinch, where he thought he could have better success. But Vimes wasn't having any of that. He continued to press forward, and landing the better shots. A solid combo rocked Colby, and in that rocked state Vimes took the fight to the clinch. He landed a solid uppercut that gave Colby whiplash. Vimes went on a rampage in the clinch and finally put him down with another great uppercut. This man has a bright future, I can tell you that much.
