BFT 132 The Dome 2 Review

Main Event - Light Heavyweight Title - Ken Tentheros KO'ed  Jake the Snake in RD 4 at 3:57.

This fight had Ken's name written all on him. In the first two rounds, Tentheros was able to take The Snake to the ground and control him. Snake did what he could to try to finish him, but it was to no avail. The Snake took some real ground and pound punishment in the third round and looked like he was finished there for a while. He pulled himself together at the end of the round but it was not for long. The fourth round started with sone solid standup, but it wasn't long before "The Dime" got to work with some ground and pound from the mount and found a way to seal the deal.

Co-Main - Middleweight Title - Akihito "Rikiya" Tatsuhiko Jr. knocked out Amir "Scorpion" Khan in RD 3 at 3:56.

This turned out to be an extremely interesting fight. The first round had "Rikiya" get the takedown. The two of them went back and forth trying different subs on each other rolling around trying to get the better position on the ground. At the end of it, Tatsuhiko was able to do enough to take the round. The second round had Khan get the take down, but Tatushiko did not approve. He was able to get his way to the top and even though Khan went full out on submissions, it was the ground work of Akihito that stole the round. In the third, Tatsuhiko was able to utilize his clinch to set up a takedown and pulverize Khan. The ref had no choice but to stop the fight.

Lightweight Title - "Mace" Enrico Mazzarri technically knocked out "Pride of house" Hussak Claw in RD 1 at 4:55.

"Mace" had the "Pride of house's" number tonight. He first opened up a cut in the clinch with a powerful knee. And after taking Claw down and fending off his submission attempts, he threw ground and pound with a ton of precision. He widened that cut until the fight had to be stopped. It was like they were bathing in blood. Possibly a late stoppage, it was a bloody mess.

Welterweight Title - "The Kraken" Jermaine Choake Unanimous Decisioned Pat Small.

The first round looked good for Small. Choake tried hard  to keep things interesting on the ground, but Small just got the better of the two in the clinch and was able to cause more damage. The second round had a little more from Choake on the ground, but I still gave the round to Small. He was able to do more on the feet effectively, although Choake did control the round plenty in this one. It could go either way. The third had Small try to mount an offence on the feet. Choake had enough of Small's shennanigans. He was able to fight back AND took things to the ground once more. The fourth round had a much more effective ground game from Choake. By the fifth, the two of them were pretty tired. But Choake was able to do enough to take the fight in the eyes of the judges.

Heavyweight Title - Hagen "The Barbarian" Germanicus knocked out Pete "War Machine" Tippin in RD 3 at 1:52.

Things started out with Germanicus taking things to the ground. But then Tippin kept things standing for a while and man did he know what he was doing. He kept throwing and even cut open Germanicus with a looping left hand. Hagen looked much better in the second while clinching and taking things down. He utilized his control and take the round. Hagen went full throttle and took things to the ground immediately. After the ref stood them up, he went right for the clinch and ended things with some devastating knees. Nice clinchwork!

Lightweight - "Stoneface" Samuel Vimes Unanimous Decisions Victor Bonifacio.

And this was the show stealer. The two of them just traded punches the entire time! It was unbelievable!. They just kept punching and punching and punching. The only problem for Bonifacio was that Vimes got the better of the exchanges every time. In the final round he even showed off some of his dirty boxing. They both threw everything except the kitchen sink, and Vimes earned himself a decision victory.

Light Heavyweight - "Lone Star" Dallas MacMillan knocked out Mark "Clisham" Edwards in RD 1 at 3:34.

This one was pretty quick. MacMillan was able to get the better of the distance fighting, even though Edwards was more agressive. And when things got clinches up, the end was soon. A strong elbow cut open Edwards and soon after an uppercut sealed their fates.

Lightweight - Night Man knocked out Guilherme "Buscape" Alves in RD 1 at 2:25.

Night Man is back! After a recent departure from BFT, he came back in full force. This Hall of Famer used his kicks to hurt Alves bad, and then brought things into the clinch. His knees were just too much for Alves to handle, and soon after the ref stopped it. Premature? Maybe. Still a good performance from Night Man? Hells Yeah.

Light Heavyweight - Shogun BDown knocked out "Vain" John Wain in RD 2 at 3:51.

Wain looked good by getting a take down early, but let it go. BDown was able to clinch things up afterward, and man did John pay for his mistake. And he did not hold back. He just unleashed upon him. the fact that "Vain" got out of the round was nothing short of incredible. The second round had more one sided beat down from Shogun. He threw everything at him. A huge uppercut cut him open. And then another one rocked him! A knee soon after sent him out of there. I mean it could have literally sent him out of the cage. It was outrageous.

Light Heavyweight - Tap Out Unanimous Decisioned Jakub "Handvice" Kochanowski

The first round was an all Tap Out Round. He controlled where the fight was the entire time. His preferences were either on the ground or in the clinch. The second round was a lot closer. Tap Out was doing his best to control the fight, but Kochanowski did everything that he could to inflict some pain on Out. And he was rather successful. He was able to do just enough to take the round. The final round was a tricky one. Tap Out was more agressive on the takedowns, but Kochanowski went for more submissions, working hard off of his back. The stand-up pushed the edge for Out and with that he was able to take the round.
