 DMMA 96 & 97 Preview

This Weekend, Dynasty MMA is here in London to take over the H20 arena once again as we host back to back events. DMMA 96 is headlined with a Lightweight scrap and looks like non stop excitement from top to bottom. The following night will end with a HUGE title fight at Light Heavyweight as Champion Camaras Account defends his belt against top Contender Seppo Ilmarinen in a 5 rounder. Today I will take a brief look at the Main Card fights for both cards and let's give a shoutout to are new Sponsor HELLBENT who is whipping up some sweat threads for MMA superstars all over the globe. As always I am your host with the most El Doucherino McBaggins, lets get on with the show.

DMMA 96 Main Card

  Heavyweight

KT Panda vs Hector Gray

Kicking things off is one of the glorious Panda men, KT Panda will meet a strapping young lad in the likes of Hector "The Spectre" Gray. These two fellas have had similar careers thus far, former CMMA fighters now with Dynasty. They also have similar records with KT Panda holding a 5-3 record while Gray is standing at 6-3 currently. Gray may stand out more as a Striker but has also shown to put in solid work on the mat as well, while Panda is more of Stan-up guy. These two former Kickboxer's look to get the crowd jumping as the Main Card starts.

   Welterweight

Toe Fungas vs Needno Badges

Next up is a man I have been wanting to preview for some time now, the Honorable Toe Fungas who has an impressive 4-1 run with DMMA going. Fungas is a dude that will grind you out and attempt to break you, with his skills and his bad Hygiene. This is a big fight for FUngas as he meets the one guy whom has beat him, Needno "Stinking" Badges. Badges has recently changed management Teams and though this could be a worry for some fighters he has managed to start off with a TKO win. This will be Badges 10th Dynasty appearance as he will surely be looking to collect his 8th win by (T)KO.

   Light Heavyweight

Panda Four  vs Swole Ricky Martin

Two Panda's on one event, oh yes it must be my Birthday. Panda Four recently snaped a hideous three fight loosing streak and will be looking to keep the train chugging. This Panda is Black belt in BJJ and has capitlized on it, winning seven of his ten victories by Submission. He will have his hands full in this one, with a rising Prospect in Swole Ricky Martin. "Porrachinha" has a perfect 5-0 pro record going 3 of which where here at DMMA. Martin is a hard hitter, finishing all his fights with either TKO or KO and if he can beat this top notch Grappler the future will be looking really bright for the Swole one.

  Heavyweight

Co-Main Event

Jules Durand  vs Roman Zhdanov

France meets Russia in are next battle as two vicious Heavyweight Strikers collide. After Suffering back to back losses, Jules has impressed the front office greatly with two straight Performance bonus victories. Durand has only had one fight go to a Decision in his career and this former Dynasty Heavyweight Champ is on a mission to get his belt back. Roman Zhadanov has also recently rebounded nicely from a two fight skid, with a win and a "KO of the Night" bonus to his cabinet. Roman is a one time title challenger and looks to match the big Frenchmen in the Striking department. With only two fights between these two going the Distance i like are chances of someone getting Brutally KO'd here, can not wait.

  Lightweight

Main Event

Chike Obi  vs Ivan Kamenev

Are DMMA 96 Main Event will pit two top Lightweights looking to move themselves into the title Picture. London's own Chike Obi now 5-1 in his career will be head lining his first event right in his backyard. Obi a former Grappling star, holds a Black belt in BJJ with 2 submission wins but has also shown the ability to Finish on the feet. Take for instance his last fight against Mr Mojo Risin whom he beat at Mojo's own game. Standing in the other corner looking to play the Spoiler will be Chike's biggest test to date in the likes of Former Blaze Lightweight Champion and two time Dynasty 155 title challenger Ivan "Hands Of Stone" Kamenev. Kamenev a former 155 pound champ as stated will be looking to keep himself on the right track after a rough 0-3-1 run which saw him change fight camps in the process. Although this is a huge fight for Chike in his Hometown, Kamenev has a great opportunity to spoil the night and rocket up the ranks as well.

DMMA 96 Prelims

265 Anton Matilla vs Kimbo Slaissi

205 Kiso Kisei  vs Wolf Von Hardenberg

145 Frank Rizzo  vs Patrick Slinger

145 Joseph Futeran  vs Frank Lucas Iv

265 Chandra Rajnahn  vs Antonne Nguema

DMMA 97 Main Card

Word is the majority of these dunking Hooligans who are here for both Events will be tailgating and partying outside the arena all night after Saturday's event. Hopefully there are no Causalities and these fuckers get some sleep even a couple hours will be nice as Day two looks to keep the momentum going.

  Welterweight

Jimmy Navarro vs Eric Brooks

Sunday's Main Card will kick off with a North American showdown, as Mexican born Jimmy Navarro faces off with Canadian Eric Brooks. Jimmy is now 6-2 in the Dynasty promotion and suffered a tough loss in his last outing which set his run back a slight bit. Navarro has a very balanced attack and has seen his fair share of Decision's, which means his Opponent should always bring their A games cause Jimmy surely will. He will have a chance to avenge one of his L's this event as he meets Eric Brooks he would like nothing more to move to 2-0 in this rivalry. Brooks, much like his Opponent is no stranger to going the Distance and seeing as there fight was a Split Decision last time out this one should be an interesting game of chess.

   Featherweight

Aum Munga vs Lennart Hohenthal

This next fight has my eye folks, it's a lowkey sleeper for "Bad Ass Fight of the Year" in the Featherweight Division. Representing Bankok, Thailand is 8-0-1 Aum Munga who has been on a tear as of late. Munga cemented his unbeaten streak when he avenged his sole Draw to Maurits Assndrop in his last DMMA fight. A win this weekend may very well be his chance to fight for the Title next. Nope in fact this will indeed be a #1 contender fight for the Title as new Dynasty CEO Tycoon Judas has just whispered it elegantly in my ear while stealing my last pint....You mother fu$$er! Munga meets 5-4 Vaasa, Finland native Lennart "The Chiro" Hohenthal. Do not let that record fool you Lennart who struggled early in his career has now rallied off a 5-1 run. His one loss was against Rogan Grimes he we will see later in the Co-Main event. This should be a war.

  Lightweight

Kra Hang vs Corey McGraugh

Are next contest will be between another native of Thailand as Kra Hang will square off with the American Corey "Quick Draw" McGraugh. Hang is coming off a Title challenge loss to the 155 champ Xylon Kofel, whom he took to the limit losing a tough Unanimous Decision. Kra is also a former Blaze Lightweight Title Challenger, and though the future is still very bright for this lad he needs to take advantage of every opportunity he gets from this point. It will start with this weekends showdown with "Quick Draw". Corey looked to be a serious threat coming over from Cali MMA, and was rolling with a 4 fight winning streak. Taht all came to an abrupt end last month as he fell short in a Decision loss to Ranger Alderidge at DMMA 89. McGraugh though has the tools to become a threat once again, which is carried by his grappling abilities and ever improving stand-up.

  Featherweight

Co-Main Event

Renji Abarai vs Rogan Grimes

DMMA 97's Co-Main event will be a class between two of the top 145ers in the org and one in which(Abarai) is a certified DMMA Hall of Famer. Renji is a two time Featherweight champ, and his last run saw him snatch 4 straight title defenses before losing his belt to Koos Van Asch on march 6th of this year. Abarai now looks to continue his Legacy that has seen so many wars, as he meets one of Van Asch's sparing partners Rogan Grimes. Grimes has had nice roller coaster ride with Dynasty MMA, it wasn't long ago that he had just lost his 3rd straight fight and was contemplating a new career in midget Pornography. He managed to turn the corner though and won the next 3 fights of his career, so the Midget porn will have to wait for now. Grimes now looks to gather his 4th fight in a row but to do it he will need to beat a guy simply known as "Champ". This just in.....Seems as if CEO Tycoon Judas has just told me that he fucked up and that this is the #1 contender fight for the Featherweight title. You know i think i know why they call you Judas now, you SOB, cause you just Judased the Munga vs Hohenthal winner.

Let's just say there will be a new #1 contender after this weekend's festivities, will just have to wait and see who that is.

Light Heavyweight Championship

Main Event

Camaras Account vs Seppo Ilmarinen

This HUGEEEE weekend will all come to an end after this showdown for the belt at Light Heavy. First lets look at the challenger here. Seppo Ilmarinen of Turku, Finland is a 9 fight veteran of DMMA. It wasn't a smooth start for the Fin either as he loss 3 of his first 5 fights in the org, including a TKO loss to the current champ. Ilmarinen though battle through the rocky start and rallied of 4 straight Submission victories. Three of those wins where "Sub of the Night" performances. His most recent win was over Former 205 champ Charles Tucker whom he submitted in the final round after winning the previous two rounds. This left no doubt that Seppo is ready for the Re-match and this time it will be for the belt. Standing across the cage will be the newly crowned Champion Camaras "Fourth Multi" Account, I don't think we have the time to get into that name, so let's just not. Mr. Account not only won the belt form then champ Misha Hasselhoff, he did it in electra-slicing fashion winning by T(KO) cut in round #4. Now a champion of both Dynasty and Blaze, Account will be looking to not only defend his belt but to defend it "MULTI"ple times. Striker vs Grappler, we have seen many times , this one though is for the belt and is also a re-match so there is a little extra sweetness to this here match-up.

Prelims

185 Arcot Ramathorn vs Lee Stephens

145 Marko Kersikov vs Satoshi Ekaku

155 Halfdan Ulfgeirsson vs Landry Stephenson

170 Niklas Aho vs Tobias Ball

205 Branibar Voiwar vs Tris Kapula

Dynasty is in full affect this weekend and London may very well be fallen after these events unfold. Fallin over drunk that's for sure Laddies. it has been my pleasure once again.

Douche T. McBaggins, signing off.
