 Hey Sucker Punch family! It’s the middle of the week…so you know what that means! Yep, we’re headed off to the Tokyo Bowl for SPPS 148!
Tonight we’ve got a crazy good lineup of fights for you folks despite not having any title fights on the card! But don’t despair, I really wasn’t lying when I said that it’s a crazy good lineup! Hell, the last fight of the Undercard alone will be a hell of a Lightweight fight between my own Repus Revorg and the very talented, very dangerous Guy River! So that should tell you that the Main Card is frankly…well, off the hook!
Another Lightweight battle will open the Main Card when Sukulaku and Roberto Soldic throw down against one another. One of these two will get one step closer to contender status with a win as they tack on a second win in a row…of course, barring a friggin’ draw! Light Heavyweights Ecker and Thai will have one of your classic striker versus ground specialist showdowns that will delight fans and, like the Lightweights, move one of them closer to contender status.
The Co-Main Event will bring two of the best Heavyweights in the business when former champ Will Wrecks takes on highly touted Ben Slam in a fight that will very likely propel one of them right up into the title picture again in short order! But it doesn’t end there, as we’ll have Featherweight fights sandwiching that Light Heavyweight battle as former Wolfpac champ and also last month’s title challenger here at Sucker Punch, Heller Cabrera, attempts to earn his way right back into the title picture…but he’ll have to get past Gauthier Delisle first who undoubtedly has similar aspirations!
Last but not least, the other side of that sandwich will be the Main Event on the evening and brings us an epic showdown between former multi-time champ, Petsuwan Sitsongrit, and one of the greatest Feather and Bantamweights in MMAT history, formerly with WCF…Ryan Anderson! The winner of this great fight gets fast-tracked straight to a Title Shot against Magnificent Chulalongkorn once he returns from his walkabout at Combate 100 this coming weekend!
