 Hello out there Sucker Punch fans! Hare Rumpler here along with my analyst and buddy, Donkey “Dan”, as we get set to take a look at all the upcoming action for SPPS 149! We’re off to the Colliseum in Los Angeles again this weekend and we’re also back to getting the title fights going here at Sucker Punch. Good stuff, great stuff, let’s get ready for some amazing action!
The Light Heavyweights will be heavily, no pun intended, featured on this card with FOUR fights lined up from the division. Granted, three of the fights are somewhat lower tier battles for the LHW’s, but the final bout between Ryan Bolt and Wallace Cobb will offer a look at some of the best action the division has to offer. And given it’s the final fight before the two Main Events, every fan will have eyes on these two and be wondering if we’ll see one of them in a title fight soon!
We also have a bunch of Welterweights going at it this evening. The portions of the Undercard that aren’t taken by the Light Heavyweights are fully populated by the Welterweights, so much so that the first fight on the Main Card is also a Welterweight contest! That means that the first six fights this evening will bounce back and forth between LHW and WW, with the final Welterweight showdown being one I’m looking forward to…a battle between Rick Segura and Ryo Hamada to open the Main Card! That’s going to be a fun one to watch folks!
The remainder of the card includes a bit Lightweight rematch between Red Crow and Yip Man lii as well as a big boy Heavyweight rockem’ sockem’ throwdown between Lampi and Conchobhar in the Co-Main Event! That fight right there is likely to determine a future Top Contender so for folks who are fans of the masses of humanity in the cage, this is definitely one to watch!
Finally, last but certainly not least, our Title Fight on the evening as one of the GOATS here at SPPS…and in MMAT as a whole…Frankie Logan…defends his Lightweight belt against challenger Kurt Cobain who comes to the championship fight this time around under new management and with a brand new focus…eye of the tiger baby!
