 We’re back yet again Sucker Punch faithful and this time we’re headed back to Tokyo after a bit of a hiatus! Tonight you’ve got SPPS 194 coming at you from the Tokyo Bowl and boy, has the anticipation for this card been ramping up to a fever pitch!
Sure, sure, we’ve got lots of great fights throughout the evening…A trifecta of Light Heavyweight battles on the Undercard…heck, four of the first six fights are Light Heavyweight contests so they’re heavily represented this evening, no pun intended. We’ve got Lightweights on tap with Karter and Rain, even some Featherweights with Cabrera and Bickle on the Main Card. All of that is GREAT!...
…heck, we’ve even got a big time Heavyweight matchup between Haden and Riker in the Co-Main Event that will earn one of them a future title shot!!! Now that’s awesome. And…who can forget about the Main Event…yes, we do have a belt on the line here tonight folks, lest you forget about that little detail! Mickey Garcia challenges here at Sucker Punch for the first time as he goes after the Middleweight Championship…something that defending Champion Kazuma is not likely to give up without a serious battle…that is, if he gives it up!
But…all of that being as fantastic as it is…the word on the underground and Buzz tells me that the real draw tonight…the fight that will have everybody in their seats well before most people ever arrive to most MMA events…yep…THE PICKLE himself, Edward Mills, will take on Dominic Trujillo who traveled all the way from Los Angeles where he was previously with World Vale Tudo and, I’m told, a brief stop at home in Montreal…before heading to Tokyo to become part of this huge event! At least, this is the word Donkey has given me from the underground…I’m not sure I completely buy it…but hey, who am I to rain on the hype parade?!?
