Time to see what we have in store for VFN 19: Capoeira Vs Matsuka – where Lightweight title will be defended and Heavyweight Grand Prix’s Semis will take place as well. So, let’s get things started…

…with a Welterweight fight, between Grayson Pierce and Thomas Raith.  Former all-american lost his debut due to cuts, but his mindset is where it should be, as he will take on one of the most dangerous fighters at 170 – in most experienced fighter in the division and submission specialist, Thomas Raith. Raith was on a roll lately, having 2-0 record in VF, before losing Mohammed Sissoko, but now he wants to get back on track – but Pierce wants to score his first win, so it will be interesting to see what they can do inside that cage against each other.

After them, cage will be taken by Lightweights Jarni Kutsoo and Lorenzo Zoil. Both guys are highly talented, and they want to prove it. Jarni is a skilled BJJ Purple belt, Lorenzo is a skilled striker – so once again we will see classic grappler vs striker match up, and as always – fans just can not wait to see this. People like to say that one-trakced fighters aint exciting. But this two guys deny that, and they will put on a show for sure…why? Why they will do this? Not because they are paid to do this, or they love to do this…the will do this, just because they can.

Big boys will step in to the cage with first Semifinal fight of Heavyweight GP – Winston “Tiny” Cole will take on Livana Jalo, to determine first finalist of this tournament. They started as a 16 top prospects in the Heavyweight division. Event after event, fight after fight, one by one they was knocking out of this Grand Prix – and now we have only four of them. Livana is a true MMA fighter, and he has no problem to stand up and bang, or go down and roll – neither has Winston, but his background is Muay Thai and he will look for a knees for sure – so stay tune, coz it’s gonna be short night for one of them.

Rajesh Nahasemapetilon was 2-2 when he came to VF…and then he met Mark Munoz. Not best way to make your debut, isn’t it? And if someone know something about bad ways to make debut – that’s Brain Fury, who lost his debut as well and he still is riding without a victory in VF. For one of them that night will change everything, as one of them will finally get a victory in Vicious Fights. And either will it be excellent boxer or great wrestler with heavy hands…tough one to predict, right? So shut up, sit back and watch it to find out who will come out on top!

Scott Taylor Williams – one of the best Muay Thai Kickboxer in Holland. Prediction? KO Machine. Wrong. Wrong. This dude has a nasty ground game, to go along with his world championship level of Muay Thai. Rhaegar Thargayen has some unfinished business with him, and he wants to beat him up for what he did to him last time. “Last Dragon” wants to prove that you can’t just slay him. You can’t hold him down. He wants to get back on track in flawless fashion. And Scott? Well, he just doesn’t care at all. What he wants? Another “W” on his record, and next step towards title shot.

Brian Baxter lost his title fight to Alex Anderson, and now he is focused on another target – Marco Da Silva, who lately demolished one of the most promising stars at 205. And he didn’t even break a sweat. Victory over someone like Baxter will launch Marco straight to the top, but don’t make mistake about it – Baxter is most dangerous, when you count him out. When people counted him out against Machida – he delivered KO Of The Night. When people counted him out against Brain Fury, he delivered KO Of The Night. You want count him out? It won’t help Marco at all.

Vasara Hai is a brilliant wrestler, with pretty powerful hands, and purple belt in BJJ around his waist…oh, and 3-1 MMA record. He is solid contender right now, and who will welcome him in VF? Fellow 3-1 Lightweight – Tomohiko Tanaka, who is a BJJ Brown Belt and possesses a solid Muay Thai to deal with guys in a standup war. One of them will get a chance to climb 155 ladder even more, if they can score a impressive stoppage victory. So, what can happen out there? Pretty much everything, but I would bet on ground exchange between them with a submission victory or TKO stoppage after serious ground and pound. Either way – it’s gonna be heell of a fun!

Jaakko Kilpinen is ready to fight again! This time against VF new-comer Bruce Hogan.  Bruce realized early in his career that even with his great wrestling, he has to get some striking skills – that’s why he trained boxing, and now he can stand up with other guys. Jaakko came to MMA from striking tournaments, and he picked up wrestling game to be able to compete in MMA. Both are pretty successful at this point, but one of them will get “L” after that night. And it’s gonna be nasty, so expect blood and sweat from these two 205ers.

Sang Eek Moon is like a freak train. 2-0 as a kickboxer, 2-0 as a MMA fighter and back-to-back KO Of The Nights. Seems pretty intimidating, right? Rami Kottari on the other hand just won his 2 fights against Rutger De Groot to secure his semifinal spot, with his outstanding wrestling skills. Two favors in Heavyweight GP will collide in Semifinal fight, that means that only one of them can advance…simple thing. Major factor will be Takedown defense skills of Sang. If he can stop Rami’s attempts, his gonna be sweet KO Of The Night nominee. If not…Sang doesn’t want to know what will happen if he doesn’t stop that attempts. That’s for sure.

Dude that should beat guys on the ground, end up being exciting all-out-war brawler. Ohh, yeah – and he is current VF Lightweight World Champion. Rafinha Capoeira shocked the world, with the most devastating 58 seconds of the former champs’ career.  Now, former title contender – Hiro Matsuka – is back in title contentions and he wants to use that chance to make it happen. It’s har to find two guys that are exact opposition in styles, but this time – we have it. Hiro loves to drag guys down to his world of submission wrestling, and Rafinha loves to keep fight standing, get that nasty thai clinch and knock you out senseless. Well, this time there is nothing more to say about that fight – just watch their Highlights, and see what we can expect.
