VFN 20: Kruger Vs Papadopulos will show us once again, why VF is perfect place to prove yourself. With stacked card and Middleweight Title fight headlining this event, we are ready to deliver one more night of action!

We will begin with a dynamic Lightweight boxers – DeSean Larson and Rolland Pierre. Both guys are pretty much same – all out boxers, ready to strike and ready to knock someone out. DeSean is still waiting for his opportunity to win first fight of his career, and Rolland wants to even his record – and go from 1-2 to 2-2. It will be pure battle of will – who want it more? Who is hungrier? Who really want to win? These questions will be answered when opening bout of this card will be history.

Agapit Blondi is 1-2 without win in VF. He is planning to change that on VFN 20, when he faces Jeffrey Dahmer – Muay Thai destroyer, who ain’t afraid of a fight. With opposite game plans, and visions of that fight, it may be interesting to see which one of them can impose their strategy over the another. Both guys’ backs are against the wall, because who knows – with 3 losses in a row, their spots in VF may be in serious jeopardy.

With 1-3 record in Lightweight division, Daniel Haukka decided to go to 170, and try his luck there. His first test will come in form of 1-0 boxer – Max “Mad” Pein. Both guys have some serious power in their hands and pretty solid wrestling, so my pick for that fight is just stand-and-brawl, with a vicious KO Of The Night performance. Reach advantage combined with amazing Muay Thai skills gives the edge to Daniel, as he may be able to control the distance and dictate pace of the fight. It’s gonna be pretty nasty fight.

Wazza Ronney and Jhiury Ajniafh fought before. At VFN 16 Ronney won by TKO, but Jhiury feels like he made simple mistake and he is able to beat Ronney – and with that mindset he asked for a rematch. And Wazza accepted the challenge. Now, they are set to fight again. Ronney said that he isn’t afraid of it, and he beat him once – so he will do this again. For Jhiury that’s perfect opportunity to step up and show everyone that fights best when he is the underdog. Fighters want to win and fans want to see exciting fight – so that’s win/win situation.

“Bick Nick” Nicklas Bendtner put together 4-6 MMA record, but as we can see – he ain’t happy with that. He wants to have more wins than losses, and his next step to that is George St. Pierre – 1-0 Middleweight, with serious hands. Nicklas will not probably be looking to stand up and exchange with his opponent, but taking fight down may be hard for him. Still, that’s may be his only chance to win it – because standing advantage? GSP for sure. On the ground he may work with some ground and pound, beat George up and try to finish him or survive on top to the decision.

With a Heavyweight GP in its final stage, and title fight booked already competition in 265lbs division is higher than ever. Abel Jospeh, who lost his only fight in Heavyweight GP to finalist – Sang Eek Moon – is ready to put on a show, build up another winning streak and go on to challenge for title as the first No. 1 contender. And his first chance is in a rematch against Dragon Gracie – who was Abel’s first GP victim. Dragon will try to go to the ground for sure, and we all hope that this time they will put on a show just like they did before. Even knowing that they are 265lbs, it’s gonna be dynamic and exciting fight for sure.

Jens Johansson build up two fights winning streak, and now he will 5-2 VF new-comer Sing Na Songkhla. Both guys showed before that they are talented and they know how to fight. Now, they will fight to see which one of them should be one step closer to a title shot in 155lbs division. After submitting Daniel Haukka, and outworking Jayden Harrison, Jens feels like his place is among the elite of the division. Sing build three fights winning streak, and with victory over someone like Johansson, he may prove that he deserves to be No. 1 contender – so with high stakes, this fight just become better.

And speaking about No. 1 contenders – next 145lbs will be a title eliminator. James DeFuria 4-1 with 4 (T)KO victories will take on 11-6 with 8 (T)KO victories Dingo Penn. If you are looking for fights that may end up in a blink of an eye – you found it. Guaranteed that this fight will NOT hear judges’ decision. Why? Combined 12 of 15 wins came by way of (T)KO. Should I say something more? It will be either slugfest on their feet, or ground and pound showcase on the mat. But ref will pull someone of the opponent, that’s for sure.

Former VF Lightweight World Champion will make his Welterweight debut on this card – Steven Larkin will take on former Welterweight title contender Mohammed Sissoko.  Steven was on a roll, won world title, undefeated, had plans to become dual champion…and then he met Rafinha Capoeira, who KOed him in less than a minute. Now, he wants to become two time champion, but first he has to go through Sissoko – what may not be easy. Mohammed is a wrestler with nasty ground and pound, and it may be hard for Steven to pull out submission when Sissoko will pound on him. Believe me, there are easier things to do than pulling out Armbar when someone is repeatedly hitting you to the face.

John Kruger is one of these guys that you know that are good, but you didn’t expect that they are THAT good. He came into his title fight, 4-0 and walk out 5-0 and world champion. And he did that in 5 minutes and 40 second. Now, on his way is another top contender – Giorges Papadopoulos, highly skilled wrestler with abilities to either knock you out, or submit you. He already showed his vicious style, and against John Kruger? Well, styles make fights, right? So that’s perfect fight. It won’t be about who his better striker, or better wrestler. It will be about who is tougher SOB, and who can push himself farther. Excellent Main Event.
