It looks like Jack Mistigris has been cut.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Just!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oquendo motions for Just to come forward. Oquendo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Just throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Just takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Just, right into the meat.
Just takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Oquendo throws a jab but it's blocked by Just.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Oquendo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Just has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Just and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Just makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Just shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Just is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Oquendo is just riding it out for now. Just eventually gives up the hold.

Just is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Oquendo defends it well.

Oquendo is staying active underneath Just, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Oquendo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Just is working away from the top position though.
Oquendo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Just not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Just passes to side control.

Just is trying to get an arm triangle but Oquendo is defending well.
Oquendo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oquendo tries to get out of the position.
Oquendo looks to move to half guard but instead Just has passed into mount! Damn!

Just raining down shots from the mount!

It looks like Jose Oquendo has been cut.
Just landing strikes from the mount.
Oquendo wants to hold on but Just pushes him away.
Just thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Just can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oquendo is looking to escape.

Just lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oquendo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Just throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Just looking to control but Oquendo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Oquendo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Just's brow.

Oquendo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Just's elbow.
Oquendo throws a head punch that misses.
Oquendo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oquendo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Oquendo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oquendo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Just tries a head kick but it misses.
Oquendo tries to score with a low kick but Just moves his leg out of the way.
Just ducks under a wild hook from Oquendo.
Just misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Oquendo is looking to slow Just down with leg kicks.
A nice leg kick lands there from Oquendo.
Just on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Just lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Oquendo tries a head kick but it misses.

Just drives through and clinches with Oquendo against the cage.
Just manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Just tries for a takedown but Oquendo manages to get underhooks.
Oquendo tries to circle away but Just has him pinned against the cage.
Just blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Just is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Oquendo pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Just turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Oquendo is trying to control Just's posture but Just avoids it.

Just has hold of Oquendo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Oquendo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Just cranks the arm and Oquendo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Oquendo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Peter Just!
