The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spyridon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spyridon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Padva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Padva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Padva!
Spyridon is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Padva is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Boy throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! roflcake has his hands clasped together but Boy breaks the hold and roflcake is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Boy!

turk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McRoberts is proving hard to escape from.

turk throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

turk attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
turk throws a head kick but McRoberts moves out of range.

turk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
turk keeping moving, preventing McRoberts from controlling successfully.

McRoberts has gone for a leg lock! turk slips out almost immediately though and dives into McRoberts's guard.

McRoberts throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! turk escapes and throws McRoberts's legs to the side, diving into side control!
McRoberts is trying to get back to half guard.

turk decides to take the fight back to the feet.
McRoberts is on the wrong end of a nice combination from turk.
turk throws a low kick but McRoberts avoids it.

McRoberts closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. turk did well to prevent McRoberts getting side control.
McRoberts looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

turk tries to kick McRoberts off but McRoberts keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

McRoberts is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. turk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McRoberts.
turk wants to get back to his feet.

McRoberts is trying to control. turk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

McRoberts is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and turk defends it well.
johnny turk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Josh McRoberts is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McRoberts is keen to just control but turk is a slippery customer.
