I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ryan Brashears was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brashears changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Noir looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brashears tries to advance to mount but can't.
Noir is trying to improve his position.
Noir gets back to half guard.
Noir moves into full guard.

Noir scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Noir has his takedown stuffed
and Brashears counters with a left and a right that stings Noir.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

so Noir counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brashears is pulling down on Noir's head. It's preventing any offense from Noir, at least for the moment.
Noir is in close to Brashears's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Noir is nestled in close to Brashears, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Brashears is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Montoya shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones throws a series of punches but Montoya moves out of range.

Montoya slips under a jab from Jones.
Montoya throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Montoya shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Montoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Montoya uses good head movement to avoid it.

Stevenson throws a right hand that Trumps ducks under and follows up with a left that Trumps also avoids with ease.

Trumps throws a head kick that Stevenson semi-blocks.

It looks like Chris Stevenson has been cut.

Trumps will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stevenson up against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stevenson tries to pull guard but Trumps holds him up against the cage and eventually Stevenson drops back down to his feet.
Stevenson can't break the clinch.
Trumps scores a nice knee to the body.
Trumps has Stevenson pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Stevenson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Trumps - that's hurt Stevenson badly! Oh, another knee lands and Stevenson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Stevenson doesn't seem to be complaining.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Malcitch grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! McCoy takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Malcitch cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Johnson.
Williams chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johnson can pounce on him.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Williams! Johnson is hurt baaadly! Williams is firing away with more strikes - Johnson is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
