We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Korvo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Akergaard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hoffman was covering up waiting for the punch and Akergaard finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Surfer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith lands with a straight right. Surfer didn't see that one coming.
Surfer moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Surfer fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith swings for the body but Surfer moves out of range.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith takes a swing at Surfer's ribcage but misses.
Surfer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Surfer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
Surfer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith works the jab nicely.
Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Surfer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Smith counters with a nice body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith gets to his feet and stands over Surfer, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Surfer felt that one! Smith unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Surfer from any more punishment!
