Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Howard steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Gracie's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Gracie just didn't come prepared.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Williams is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rodriguez sees it coming and defends easily.
Williams wants to control but Rodriguez is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rodriguez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Rodriguez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Rodriguez is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Williams seems to be looking for submissions.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rodriguez defends it well.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Nieto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nieto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bullet the Blue Sky. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kirk's choice of entrance music: STAR TREK: Online - Soundtrack OST # 01 - Main Theme . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Nieto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kirk.

You can see the frustration on Kirk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nieto has an Americana. Kirk didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nieto is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nieto hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Overeem changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Overeem manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Overeem fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Overeem is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.

Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
