The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Thornwell tenderised McCuddler's leg. McCuddler is trying to keep his angry face on.
McCuddler shoots in looking for a takedown. Thornwell tries to sprawl out of it but McCuddler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thornwell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thornwell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McCuddler doesn't seem bothered though.
McCuddler shoots in and drives through. Thornwell sprawls well.
Thornwell slaps away a takedown attempt from McCuddler, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jacky Thornwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huggie McCuddler.
McCuddler looks gassed!
Thornwell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Thornwell closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Huggie McCuddler has been cut.
Thornwell connects with a looping right hand.
Thornwell works McCuddler's body with a nice hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCuddler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thornwell sprawls well. Thornwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McCuddler gets slowly back to his feet.

Thornwell lands a head shot.
McCuddler takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McCuddler is trying desperately to land a takedown but Thornwell is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for McCuddler.
Thornwell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Thornwell jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That has opened up Huggie McCuddler's cut even more.

Thornwell drops McCuddler with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McCuddler looks back up at him and smiles so Thornwell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

McCuddler is rocked!
Thornwell closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks McCuddler out cold! McCuddler corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Dent throws a body punch but Subz moves out of range.
Subz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Subz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dent takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Dent throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dent scores with a sloppy right hand. Subz should have avoided that one.
Dent tries to clinch up but Subz circles away and keeps his distance.
Arthur Dent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Subz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dent, pushing him back against the cage.
Dent lands a hook to the side of the head.
Subz tries to score a body lock takedown but Dent shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Subz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dent gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Subz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dent pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Subz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dent swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Subz defending well as Dent loads up on a big left hand.
Dent swings away with a body shot that misses

and Subz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dent wants to get back to his feet.
Dent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Subz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Soldo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Soldo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Soldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Soldo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ubereem hang on?
