The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Guevara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes.
Guevara swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Guevara shows good takedown defense.
Guevara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Guevara steps into range and cracks Sanchez with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Sanchez flops backwards and Guevara dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Martin Sanchez has been cut.

Guevara stands and steps away. Sanchez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guevara misses with an uppercut.
Guevara just misses with a punch to the body.
Sanchez ducks under a wild hook from Guevara.
Guevara circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sanchez to the canvas! Sanchez doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Guevara keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The fighters circling - Ling throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hamz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ling manages to avoid it.
Hamz avoids the body shot from Ling.
Ling fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hamz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ling.
Hamz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wong Ling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ling fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hamz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ling throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hamz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ling lands a really nice looking cross but Hamz seems unphased.
Ling avoids the body shot from Hamz.
A shot to the liver by Hamz. Beautiful body shot.
Hamz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ling on the side of the head.
Ling lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ling throws a series of punches but Hamz avoids them all with ease.
Hamz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ling stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ling motions for Hamz to come forward. Ling throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ling tests Hamz's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Nice straight punches there by Ling. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ling.
Ling misses with a straight left.
Ling misses with a body punch
and Hamz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ling moves out of range as Hamz strikes.
Hamz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hamz leaves Ling with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hamz takes a swing at Ling's ribcage but misses.
Ling on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hamz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hamz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ling counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hamz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ling looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hamz stalks Ling and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ling's face. Ling staggers backwards, shaken.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ling fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ling throws a shot from downtown. Hamz moves away and avoids it.
Nice shot lands for Hamz.
Hamz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ling looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Hamz drops Ling with a beautiful combination! Ling stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hamz is looking for the KO!

Ling is rocked!
Ling takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hamz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hamz throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Ling stumbling backwards into the cage! Ling bounces back off the cage towards Hamz, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hamz lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hamz celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fresh Hamz!
