The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groos stuffs the takedown.

Hester drives through with a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Groos is on top in guard.
Groos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hester swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Groos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hester dives on top into guard.

Groos should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tan tries to clinch up but Or circles away and keeps his distance.
Tan shoots in looking for a takedown. Or tries to sprawl out of it but Tan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Or manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Or scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Tan is looking to clinch but Or is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Or. No joy for Tan on that attempt.

Tan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Or moves away.
Or avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Or as he jumps to the side.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Matsuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Lee Hung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryo Matsuda had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Kim Lee Hung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Hung has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Vamp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Vamp throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice uppercut lands for Vamp. That snapped Humahuta's head back.

It looks like Jokohama Humahuta has been cut.
Vamp misses the shot to the body.
A jab-cross combination lands for Vamp and sends Humahuta crashing to the mat! Vamp follows him down to the mat - Humahuta regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harjan Varsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antero Vipunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antero Vipunen struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Harjan Varsi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Antero Vipunen's chin.

Vipunen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Varsi throws a head kick that misses.
Vipunen shoots for a double leg takedown but Varsi sprawls well. He's pushed Vipunen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No joy there for Varsi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Varsi misses with a wild combination.
Vipunen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Varsi swivels and escapes.
Harjan Varsi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antero Vipunen.
Varsi drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Vipunen right on the button. Vipunen goes down! Varsi follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Varsi gets the win via TKO!
