OConnor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cole tries to avoid it but OConnor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cole to the ground. Cole escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

OConnor closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cole quickly recovers to half guard.
Cole wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil The Phantom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregg Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Phantom kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Super Freak. Valentine has chosen Downtown Swinga 96 by MOP as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The Phantom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valentine tries to avoid it but The Phantom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valentine to the ground. Valentine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The Phantom decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The Phantom looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valentine with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
