The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Morgan motions for Tao to come forward. Morgan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tao looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Yang Tao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tao tries to land a front kick but Morgan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tao looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tao throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Derick Morgan has been cut.

Tao looks for the body kick but Morgan saw that one coming.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Morgan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tao - the referee stops the clock and Morgan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tao. Morgan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oh Morgan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morgan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tao.
Look low, kick high! Tao uses the oldest trick in the book to send Morgan tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Tao is absolutely delighted - when Morgan wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Wazed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Machida will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wazed shoots for a double leg takedown but Machida sprawls well. He's pushed Wazed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wazed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wazed is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Machida doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wazed.

Machida is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wazed pulls his head out easily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Wazed is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Machida has managed to free his arm - good work.

Machida is looking to improve his position.
Wazed is taking a breather. Machida says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wazed wants to pass to mount but Machida is defending the position.

Wazed looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Wazed seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Machida for as long as he can get away with.
Wazed's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sheikh Hasina Wazed just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Sheikh Hasina Wazed dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Wazed shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side.
Wazed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Machida is fending him off so far but Wazed persists. Nope, Machida circles away and we're back to standing.

Wazed throws a low kick but Machida avoids it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wazed fails to land the takedown.

Lyoto Machida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck for Oman with that takedown attempt.

Willis cracks Oman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Willis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Oman to stand back up!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Oman. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
