James darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

James feints a jab promting Retkovic to slip. James then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Retkovic slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

James lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Retkovic backs up against the cage.

James leaves Retkovic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Retkovic looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

McGully will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
McGully just misses with a punch to the body.
Jason McGully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGully lands a nice shot that snaps Boom's head back.
Boom is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McGully.
McGully has a takedown stuffed.
Boom throws a hook but McGully avoids it easily.
McGully tries to clinch up but Boom circles away and keeps his distance.
McGully lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boom circles away quickly and effectively.
Boom blocks the body kick.
McGully rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boom moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McGully dives in and grabs Boom's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boom pushes down on McGully's head and hops out.

Boom got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGully has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boom has managed to get both his arms back between McGully's legs - danger averted.

Boom throws a strike but McGully rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McGully is fighting to break Boom's control of his arms but Boom is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McGully is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McGully doesn't manage to clinch there - Boom circles away.

Boom throws a looping overhand right but McGully ducks down to avoid it.
