Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Smith struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Max Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevsky slips under a jab from Castle.
Nevsky throws a right and a left that both miss.

Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nevsky manages to avoid it.
Castle throws a series of punches but Nevsky moves out of range.
Castle bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nevsky's head backwards.
Castle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nevsky throws out the jab.
Nevsky shoots in and drives through. Castle sprawls well.
Castle lands a nice shot that snaps Nevsky's head back.
A big right from Castle misses.
Castle on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Nevsky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Nevsky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nevsky works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
