Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mister Spock!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Repe Sorsa!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sorsa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Spock misses with a combination
and Sorsa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Sorsa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sorsa closes the distance and clinches up with Spock, looking for a takedown. Sorsa pushes Spock against the cage but Spock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sorsa takes a swing at Spock's ribcage but misses.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mister Spock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Spock fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sorsa checks it well.
Spock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Sorsa counters with a single leg into guard. Spock didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spock keeping moving, preventing Sorsa from controlling successfully.
Sorsa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Spock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Spock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sorsa tries to get to full guard but Spock has control of the leg.

Spock passes into side control, despite Sorsa's attempt to control the position.
Sorsa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sorsa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spock looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sorsa is avoiding damage well.

Spock wants to stand but Sorsa is controlling his arm.

Spock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sorsa is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

A close round but Repe Sorsa will probably get the nod.

Both fighters circling a little - Spock finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Spock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sorsa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sorsa passes the guard and advances to mount!
BOOM! Sorsa connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sorsa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Spock tries to hold on but Sorsa postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spock is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Sorsa throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sorsa is pressing down on Spock's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spock is holding on for now.
Sorsa is keen to just control but Spock is a slippery customer.
Sorsa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sorsa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spock is just riding it out for now. Sorsa eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Repe Sorsa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sorsa throws a push kick but Spock slaps the foot to one side.
Spock throws a lazy right hand but Sorsa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sorsa throws a head kick but Spock moves out of range.

Mister Spock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sorsa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sorsa has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Spock's face.

Repe Sorsa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sorsa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
