AlQaeda lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

AlQaeda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

AlQaeda swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Thomas is now in AlQaeda's guard. A big mistake from AlQaeda there, giving up the dominant position!

More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save AlQaeda from any more punishment! AlQaeda complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
