The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kulas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Velasquez wants to clinch.

Kulas gets the takedown into side control.

Kulas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Velasquez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kulas but great work by Velasquez.
Kulas parries the strikes from Velasquez easily there. Velasquez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kulas to escape.

The crowd cheers as Grzmot lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Allan wants to clinch but Martin slips to the side
and Martin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Martin throws a low kick but Allan avoids it.
Allan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Martin catches Allan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Allan counters with a thumping low kick.
Martin sizes up Allan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Allan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Martin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Martin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Allan counters with a series of strikes. Martin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Allan tries to clinch but Martin moves out of range.
Martin misses with a low kick.
Martin tries for a takedown but Allan circles away easily
and Allan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Allan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mike Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zack Allan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Allan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Allan gets caught flat footed, as Martin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Martin is looking to work some ground and pound but Allan has wrist control.
Allan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martin manages to get himself to full guard.

Allan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Martin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Allan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Martin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Allan is aware though and is defending well.

Allan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Allan has managed to get both his arms back between Martin's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Martin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Allan's guard.
Martin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Allan's head.

Allan is looking to control Martin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Allan avoid being mounted?
Allan is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Martin jumps into side control!
Martin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Martin takes a little break here. Allan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Allan struggling a bit here.
Allan regains half guard.
Allan is concentrating on defense, preventing Martin from advancing position.
Martin is looking to advance position but Allan won't allow it.
Martin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Martin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Martin trying to control from half guard but Allan is working away.

Mike Martin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Martin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
