The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kagawa shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kagawa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Von Rothlesberger closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Von Rothlesberger walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Von Rothlesberger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Von Rothlesberger isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gracie stacks Von Rothlesberger on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gracie!
Check out the look on Gracie's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Von Rothlesberger pushes Gracie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gracie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gracie has hold of Von Rothlesberger's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Von Rothlesberger seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Von Rothlesberger is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Von Rothlesberger is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
