Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Devin Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Cowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Cowen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cowen throws a low kick but Gillis avoids it.
Gillis tries for a takedown but Cowen circles away easily
and Cowen counters with a one-two to the body.

Cowen instigates a clinch.
Gillis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Cowen prevents it.

Gillis has picked Cowen up - he's going for a ride! Gillis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gillis tries to pass to full mount but Cowen defends it.
Cowen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cowen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cowen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cowen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gillis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fanboy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Davis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Abdelghani leaves his chin hanging out and Magnusson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Abdelghani crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
