Mafusa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Sharko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrej Sharko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sharko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Man will probably get the nod.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton moves away from the strike by McClane.
McClane slaps away a takedown attempt from Ashton, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ashton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McClane's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McClane can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ashton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ashton drops back, looking for a kneebar! McClane looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McClane looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McClane!
