Hurley kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fools Gold. Paul Hurley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cong.
Hurley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cong.

Paul Hurley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Cong.
Cong throws a sloppy head kick and Hurley moves out of range easily.

Cong shoots in looking for a takedown. Hurley tries to sprawl out of it but Cong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hurley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cong throws a sloppy head kick and Hurley moves out of range easily.

and Hurley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cong won't be happy with that.
Hurley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Hurley is looking to take a break and control but Cong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hurley has hold of Cong's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cong tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hurley cranks the arm and Cong screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cong, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
