A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kabouter is defended easily by Muromets.

Muromets shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kabouter is trying to defend but Muromets finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Muromets is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kabouter is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mc blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mc drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mc is working for takedown but johnson is calmly controlling the position for now.
johnson looking to stall.

Mc is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. johnson can't fight it off and eventually Mc manages to take the fight to the floor. johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mc wants to control from the top but johnson keeps moving.

Mc drops back looking for a leg! johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and johnson manages to kick Mc off! Mc jumps back into johnson 's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mc not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

johnson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

johnson is pressed up against the cage. Mc has hold of a leg and is looking to drag johnson down to the mat. johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Mc. Mc gets slowly back to his feet.
Mc tries to clinch up but johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Mc misses with a looping right.
Mc looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

johnson takes the fight into the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on johnson 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mc just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mc wants a takedown but no success here.

Mc has clasped his hands together around johnson 's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Mc thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mc decides to stand up, so the ref orders johnson to his feet.
Mc scores with a kick to the midsection.

Mc thuds a left hand into johnson 's body.

Mc scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mc is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mc is trying to control the action in half guard but johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Mc drops an elbow to the side of johnson 's head.
Mc slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
johnson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Mc maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! johnson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mc has cracked it and johnson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mc!

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosmos Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegas comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Stop The Rock by Freestyle. Ivanov has chosen Motorhead - Ace of Spades as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Vegas has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

Ivanov with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Ivanov tries to clinch up but Vegas circles away and keeps his distance.
Vegas misses with a wild body shot.
Vegas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ivanov momentarily.
Ivanov shoots in looking for a takedown. Vegas tries to sprawl out of it but Ivanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vegas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vegas throws out a loose jab but Ivanov uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Vegas counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Ivanov has a closed guard, preventing Vegas from standing up.
Vegas is breathing heavily.

Vegas wants to control from the top but Ivanov keeps moving.

Ivanov pushes a forearm under Vegas's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Vegas is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
