The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Synephrine is looking to clinch but Strauss is avoiding it.

It looks like Sam Synephrine has been cut.

Strauss feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Otis Driftwood!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Peterson misses.
Driftwood uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Peterson.
Driftwood connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Peterson momentarily.

It looks like Xavier Peterson has been cut.
Peterson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Driftwood.
Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Driftwood swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Driftwood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Peterson manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Driftwood misses the target.
Driftwood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peterson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Peterson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Driftwood steps into range and cracks Peterson with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Peterson flops backwards and Driftwood dives into his guard looking to finish!

Peterson is rocked!
Driftwood thows a big elbow that misses.
Oh Peterson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Driftwood sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Peterson is working an open guard so Driftwood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Peterson seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Driftwood falls off balance throwing a combination
and Peterson counters with a nice uppercut.
Driftwood thuds a left hand into Peterson's body.
Peterson is breathing heavily.
Driftwood connects with a nice cross there... Peterson is looking wobbly and Driftwood recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Peterson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Driftwood jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
