That was a close round but I would say that Guy Downs will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kekoa Kai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kai misses with a hook. froch ducked under it nicely.
Kai shoots in looking for a takedown but froch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kai's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A kick lands to the mid section there for froch.

froch feints a jab promting Kai to slip. froch then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kai slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kai is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
froch comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kai is still on wobbly legs! Can froch finish him?
Kai closes the distance and clinches up with froch, looking for a takedown. Kai pushes froch against the ropes but froch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kai seems to have recovered his senses.
marlo froch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kekoa Kai.
Kai avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kai is trying desperately to land a takedown but froch is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kai.

Kai tries to clinch up but froch pushes him back against the ropes and lands another monster strike that crumples Kai to the mat! Kai covers up and froch unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
