Gers jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rakieta is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rakieta and Gers has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gers swings around for an armbar but Rakieta sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gers's guard.

Gers looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rakieta has picked Gers up and slammed him! Gers can't keep hold of the triangle and Rakieta manages to pass to side control!
Gers is trying to work for a sweep but Rakieta has mounted him!

Dave Gers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gers shoots in looking for a takedown. Rakieta tries to sprawl out of it but Gers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rakieta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Dave Gers will probably get the nod.
