Boy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Leer leaves SWAGGER with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Leer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with SWAGGER, pushing him back against the cage.
Leer throws a knee to the head but misses.
SWAGGER goes for a takedown in the clinch but Leer prevents it.

Leer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Leer lands with a nice body punch.
SWAGGER dives in and grabs Leer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leer pushes down on SWAGGER's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for MAX SWAGGER. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oh Fox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Riley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Riley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Riley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gomi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Wagner throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gomi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Gomi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wagner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gomi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Gomi feints a jab promting Wagner to slip. Gomi then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wagner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
