and Davis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stewie Dent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dent swings widly with a right hand
and Davis counters with a straight right hand.
Dent throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Phil Davis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dent drops Davis with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Davis! Dent dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Kovacs throws a series of punches but Chulainn avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheers as Kovacs lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chulainn doesn't seem phased though.

Kovacs throws a combination that misses
and Chulainn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Chulainn takes the fight into the clinch.

Chulainn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chulainn feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kovacs sprawling to the canvas! Kovacs rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Chulainn finish him?!

It looks like Rorschach Kovacs has been cut.

Chulainn drops Kovacs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kovacs looks back up at him and smiles so Chulainn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kovacs drops his hands momentarily. Chulainn doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kovacs staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kovacs doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
