The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Welsh lands with a shot to the body.

Brajnik shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Welsh as he avoids it easily.

Welsh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brajnik eats them both and turns towards Welsh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Welsh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Brajnik shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brajnik showed some decent athleticism there.
Brajnik is trying to control. Welsh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Welsh has got one arm under Brajnik's chin. This could be trouble... Brajnik trying to control the other hand but Welsh gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Brajnik has tapped out! The fight is over!
