The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas lands with a cross.
Arnold throws a lazy head kick
letting Douglas counter with a right hand.

and Douglas counters with a left to the body.

Douglas scores with a hook to the body. Arnold takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Douglas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Douglas, as that shot connected.
Douglas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Arnold momentarily.
Douglas cracks Arnold with an uppercut from hell and Arnold crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Douglas's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Arnold is rocked!
Douglas is pushing down on Arnold's leg trying to pass to half guard. Arnold is fighting to maintain full guard but Douglas has managed to sneak the leg through.
Douglas is trying to work for a kimura but Arnold is defending well.
Arnold tries to kick Douglas off but Douglas keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Douglas lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Douglas.
The referee is taking a good look at Arnold as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Douglas!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Douglas controlling the positon.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Arnold is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Douglas gets his way!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Arnold should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Arnold can't keep his opponent in guard - Douglas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Arnold is in trouble now - Douglas has advanced to mount!
Douglas won't let Arnold get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Arnold has left one of his arms exposed and Douglas doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Arnold screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
