Smitherton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gannad fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smitherton sprawls well initially but Gannad persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gannad has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
