Tip shoots for a takedown but Liddel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Liddel tries to improve position but can't.
Liddel wants to control but Tip postures up.
Liddel is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tip is staying active.

Tip thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tip is breathing heavily.
Liddel is looking for a sweep.
Liddel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tip tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tip scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Tip changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddel tries to avoid it but Tip manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddel to the ground. Liddel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tip looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Tip. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Liddel stuffs the takedown attempt from Tip. Tip gets slowly back to his feet.
Liddel swings for the body but Tip moves out of range.
Tip shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liddel as he avoids it easily.
Tip fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Liddel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Liddel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tip. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pulli drops back, looking for a kneebar! Phants looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Phants looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Phants!
