Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Razum, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Razum against the cage but Razum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Randal shoots in for a takedown but Ness shows good takedown defense.

Randal feints and as Ness raises his hands in defense, Randal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Randal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Randal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels feints and as Pee raises his hands in defense, Michaels changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Michaels throws a big right hand that misses.
Michaels chips away with some ground and pound.

Michaels postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Michaels, into his guard.
Pee tries to free his leg and advance position but Michaels is retaining full guard.
Michaels wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pee is now in half guard.

Michaels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Michaels is on top in guard.

Michaels feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Michaels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Michaels is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
