The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gerrard's waist but Gerrard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pena off to one side.
Pena gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pena moves out of range of the strikes.
Pena ducks right into an uppercut from Gerrard.

Pena darts in and clinches Gerrard up against the cage.
Pena unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gerrard lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barragan Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Servata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Like A Boss. Barragan Jackson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fox shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goodson but Goodson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gillberg closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Thunder to the mat! Thunder manages to get full guard.

Thunder throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gillberg uses it to pass to side control.
Thunder trying to control but Gillberg flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
I would not like to be Thunder right now.
Let's hope that Gillberg has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
