The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokunen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nyrkki as he avoids it easily.
Jokunen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nyrkki throws out the jab.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jokunen lands a big elbow.
Nyrkki wants to try and get back to his feet.
Nyrkki is bucking up trying to escape but Jokunen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Jokunen is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Nyrkki is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Nyrkki flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jokunen anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Nyrkki and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jokunen slips an arm under Nyrkki chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jokunen has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jokunen is squeezing on Nyrkki like an anaconda would it's prey. Nyrkki fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groos shoots for a takedown but Johnston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Groos feints and as Johnston raises his hands in defense, Groos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Johnston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Groos is one step ahead there.
Groos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Johnston's guard.
Johnston wants to get back to full guard.
Johnston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Groos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnston wants to control but Groos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Johnston missing with punches from the bottom.

Groos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnston is just riding it out for now. Groos eventually gives up the hold.

Groos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Johnston is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Masa tries to close the distance and clinch but Lahjakkuus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The is referee keeping an eye on Karmin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Karmin is pressed up against the cage. Grant has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Karmin down to the mat. Karmin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Karmin moves in looking to clinch but Grant pushes him off.

Karmin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grant with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
