The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makounochi throws a shot to the body.

Elwood clinches up with Makounochi and pushes him back against the cage.

Makounochi breaks the clinch.
Makounochi jabs at Elwood's body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Makounochi, as that shot connected.
Makounochi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Elwood has managed to clinch.
Makounochi is trying to break free.
Elwood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Makounochi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Makounochi fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Makounochi misses.
Makounochi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Makounochi misses with an uppercut

and Elwood counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Makounochi's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Elwood gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Elwood showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Makounochi.
Elwood ducks right into an uppercut from Makounochi.

Elwood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Homes has a takedown stuffed.
Razor throws a series of punches but Homes avoids them all with ease.
Razor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Homes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Homes shoots in but Razor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Homes fails to land the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Smalls tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Donaldson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Smalls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Donaldson tries to clinch but Smalls moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smalls.

Smalls fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Donaldson, pushing him back against the cage.
Smalls keeps control of Donaldson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Smalls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Biggie Smalls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smalls throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Donaldson colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Smalls as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Donaldson is left battered and dazed whilst Smalls and his camp cheer!

Palmer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Channel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Palmer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Channel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Palmer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Channel's back instead.

Palmer is working for a rear naked choke. Channel is not defending it well and Palmer has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Channel refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Channel's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
