Starter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Will Smith - Party Starter. peti has chosen dfkf as his entrance music. Christian Starter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
peti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Starter shoots in and drives through. peti sprawls well.
Starter tries to clinch there but peti circles away.

Starter closes the distance and clinches.

Starter drags the fight down to the ground.
peti wants to control from the top but Starter keeps moving.
Starter controlling the position.
Starter wants to get back to his feet but peti is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
peti preventing the sweep.
Starter wants to stand up but peti is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

peti gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Starter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Starter.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Starter tries to clinch there but peti circles away.

peti shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. peti showed some decent athleticism there.
peti wants to stand but Starter has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Starter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Starter controlling the position for now.
Starter is looking to escape.
peti is trying to control the action in half guard but Starter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

peti is looking to take a break and control but Starter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Starter clinches with his opponent.
Starter stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
peti jumps guard but Starter stands there with peti around his waist. peti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

peti drags the fight down to the ground.
peti not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

peti pushes Starter off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

peti changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Starter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Starter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but peti wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
peti is looking to take a break and control but Starter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
peti staying calm.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
I looks like peti might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

peti stands up and beckons Starter to his feet.
Starter looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Starter tries to close the distance and clinch but peti swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

peti bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Starter is not content to let peti control the position.
Starter manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but chaz peti will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Starter darts in and clinches peti up against the cage.

Starter lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

peti is defending against the submission attempts here by Starter.
peti is looking to escape.
peti works his way to full guard. Good work.

Starter gets to his feet - peti follows without any prompting.
Starter moves in looking to clinch but peti pushes him off.
Starter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and peti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and peti holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Starter pulls peti into guard.
peti is breathing heavily.

Starter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Starter looking for a guillotine here but peti defends easily.
Starter is pulling down on peti's head. It's preventing any offense from peti, at least for the moment.

Starter has his foot on peti's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. peti works his way back into a safe position though.
peti trying to control the position from guard on top but Starter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Starter looking to hit a scissor sweep but peti is one step ahead there.

Starter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. peti is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Starter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take peti's back instead.

I would not like to be peti right now.
Christian Starter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Starter is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. peti has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Starter has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! peti taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Starter doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Champion lands a nice looking body shot.

Champion darts in and clinches Jenkins up against the cage.
Jenkins wants to break free but Champion has control.
Champion really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jenkins has a couple of punches blocked by Champion.
Champion slows down the pace here.
Champion unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jenkins lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Champion works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Champion lands a knee to the head.
Champion stalling the fight.

Champion breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Champion ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jenkins throws a punch but it's blocked by Champion.
Champion lands an elbow inside.

Champion lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Jenkins is looking to break free of the clinch but Champion has double underhooks.

Champion takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Champion looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Champion forces the positional change into back control.

StAmand looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prevost throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Prevost is trying to control but can't.
Prevost flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

StAmand stands up out of the half guard.

StAmand shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Prevost's guard.
StAmand makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Prevost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for StAmand on the ground.

Prevost wants to control from the top but StAmand keeps moving.

StAmand is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now StAmand is on top in guard.

StAmand has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Prevost wants to sweep but no luck.

Prevost has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. StAmand is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Prevost.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

StAmand closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Prevost on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

StAmand is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Prevost is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

StAmand is looking to take a break and control but Prevost is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Oh Hammer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Luc Boivers connects with a stiff jab that staggers Hammer - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Roquentin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flecher as he jumps to the side.

Flecher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Roquentin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Roquentin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Flecher has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Roquentin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Flecher is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Roquentin pulls down on the head and he's put Flecher to sleep! This one is all over!
