Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Everhart Cruse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ansan Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Remember the Name-Fort Miner as his entrance music. Ansan Brown struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Everhart Cruse looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desbiens throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Desbiens will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Desbiens misses with a few strikes there.
Sol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Desbiens looks to land a right hand but Sol moved out of range.
Desbiens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sol moves in looking to clinch but Desbiens pushes him off.
Sol throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Desbiens on the side of the head.
Sol misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Desbiens keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Desbiens does no damage.
Sol displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Desbiens throws out the jab.
Patrice Desbiens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Sol counters by clinching up.
Sol tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Desbiens just stands there and leans against the cage.

Desbiens escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Sol counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Sol counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Desbiens's guard now.

Sol drops back looking for a leg! Desbiens is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Desbiens manages to kick Sol off! Sol jumps back into Desbiens's guard.

Sol postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Desbiens is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sol, into his guard.

Sol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Desbiens's guard.

Sol drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions now. Sol seems to have locked his on tight now - Desbiens screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Sol, as he picks up the win!
