The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hatfield stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

It looks like Hannibal Hatfield has been cut.
Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hatfield fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hatfield throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Hatfield throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hatfield will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That has opened up Hannibal Hatfield's cut even more.

Jones throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hatfield stumbling backwards into the cage! Hatfield bounces back off the cage towards Jones, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Jones lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Jones celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Russell is looking to clinch but Austin is avoiding it.
Austin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Russell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Russell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Austin tries to lock up and control but Russell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Russell looking for a guillotine from mount but Austin is having none of it.

Russell swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Austin is now in Russell's guard. A big mistake from Russell there, giving up the dominant position!

Russell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Austin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Austin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
