Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hardwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teo Pliskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardwood gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pliskin wants to control from the top but Hardwood keeps moving.
Pliskin throws and elbow that misses. Hardwood uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pliskin's guard. Nice move by Hardwood!

Pliskin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hardwood is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pliskin.
