Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Logan Barrillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Kerns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Kerns told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Logan Barrillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Kerns!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrillo shoots in for a takedown but Kerns shows good takedown defense.
Kerns throws an overhand right that lands on Barrillo's shoulder, as Barrillo tries to avoid the shot.

Barrillo gets caught flat footed, as Kerns shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kerns is nestled in close to Barrillo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That was a close second round but I would say that Logan Barrillo will probably get the nod.

Barrillo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kerns moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kerns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Barrillo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kerns looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kerns looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kerns!

Bo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top!

I think McDonald might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to March of Cambreadth. Eddie McDonald has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?
