The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nich gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Angle blocks a head kick by Sting.
Sting fails with an attempt to clinch.
Angle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sting is breathing heavily.

Angle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sting swivels and escapes.
Scorpion Sting has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Angle.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sting moves in looking to clinch but Angle pushes him off.
Sting stuffs the takedown.

Sting tries to clinch up but Angle circles away and keeps his distance.

Sting looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck for Sting with that takedown attempt.

Angle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sting's guard.

Angle stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Sting has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Angle manages to get his head free but now Sting has transitioned to an armbar! Angle grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Sting! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
