Koivisto stumbles backwards against the cage. Griffin steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Koivisto's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Koivisto just didn't come prepared.

Gonzales had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Retale is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gonzales Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Retale's back instead.

Gonzales is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Retale knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Retale for a finish.

Gonzales has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Retale has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Mintz.
